Preparing for the Hearing Test

Babies must sleep during the test
In order for the test to be performed, your baby must be asleep for the test and sleep for approximately 2 hours.  It’s very important that babies be awake for a while prior to the testing time.  Most testing centers will also ask that babies be hungry at test time so the tey can be fed in order to fall asleep.  So it’s very important that your child arrive to the office tired and hungry but not sleeping.

Arrange care for siblings
Generally, other children are not permitted in the testing rooms.  The testing rooms are very small, and the test results rely on a very quiet environment.
